DECEMBER 2025 - MISCELLANEOUS

Yates Christmas Card 2025

Auri was elected as on of the Jr. Luxelle officers this year. She was one of the team captains along with Swayzie (who she has danced with nearly her entire life) and Jerzi

Jayden and Nici decided to have a puzzle making night. They selected a puzzle from the closet that must have been from a white elephant gift or maybe DI that specifically said "All There". Can you spot the missing piece??? Jayden was so disappointed to not be able to complete it with the missing piece after all the hard work of putting it together! It still looked beautiful!

Auri has become quite the artist. She loves printing pictures of her friends and sketching them. Between her and Skyler, we have some artists in the family!

Skyler and Alisha celebrating 1 month as an "official couple"

Temple Days are always the best days!

Never a dull moment in the car with mom and the kids!

This was a text Auri sent mom about her first kiss - we all thought it was hilarious that her first kiss was Kingston who was her first Valentine and her friends even filmed it! At least she got it out of the way with someone she was only friends with before going to high school ;)

Proof that Auri only had a clean room on "Yolanda" Days! And she wondered why we needed someone to clean our house on a regular basis!
Aysia and Peter went to support Tia and the Westlake Luxelle's at one of the Drill Competitions

Happy New Years!

New Years was fairly low-key this year. Everyone had plans except Dad, Mom and Aysia. So they decided to head out on a drive to go look for houses with amazing christmas lights. They headed over to Alpine and found some fun neighborhoods to explore with some amazing light displays. They headed back to the house to watch a movie and countdown to midnight, celebrating with some sparkling cider. Aysia was enjoying some downtime before heading back up to school and getting ready for her upcoming dance Nationals competition.

Auri was invited to spend New Year's with some of her friends at Checkham's house. His parents had several games planned with prizes. Luckily the group wasn't huge like some of Auri's hangouts. Just enough to have fun without it getting out of hand!

It's Cousin TIME!

We couldn't go through the holidays without "COUSIN TIME"! We look forward to spending time with the Hafen's every year. We headed down the day after Christmas for the weekend. We played games, made puzzles, played in the sports court, went on a hike, rode bikes, went out for ice gelato, played many games of the famous Ghost in the Graveyard (Yes, Jett's "monkey Jett" pajamas still fit him... kind of) , went to church and even got to be there for Ace's opening of his mission call! We were so excited when we found out he would be serving in Mississippi spanish speaking! He will be a great missionary. After church on Sunday, we headed out to see Wendy and Steven near Hurricane where they built a new home. We were able to seen Abby and Gabe and their kids as well. It was a great quick trip to St. George. We know it won't be the same as the kids get older and get too busy for hanging out. We love our quick trips to St. George!

Christmas 2025

Christmas 2025 was one for the history books! We had an amazing Christmas and were so lucky we had another daughter join us this year. We invited Nici's parents and sister as well as G-Woobs over for breakfast (french toast, grits and parfaits). After Nici's family left, we let the unwrapping begin! Aysia and Auri received many clothes, airpods, ugg shoes and gift cards. Jayden and Nici got a TV and Skyler got a Brighton Ski Pass. The family also got 4 Season passes to the RSL games including the Miami vs RSL match where 4 lucky family members will be able to watch Lionel Messi play on our home field. We also got family tickets to a few Jazz games and NHL Mammoth Hockey Games! It was a great morning.

After cleaning up and taking naps, we ate our traditional Ham and potatoes Christmas Dinner and invited Nici's family and Grandma and Grandpa Pikus and Grandma Woobie to the movie Avatar at FatCats. We headed back home for pie and icecream and to play a few games. It was a great Christmas. We knew it would be different the next year with Aysia leaving on her mission, so we soaked it all up and enjoyed every minute of it!
