Park City

We took a quick trip to Park City to spend some time with the Robinson family. It was fun to see Tom & Adrianne and their cute family. The kids had fun swimming (in a very warm pool) and hanging out with their cousins.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We were invited to Rob & Gege’s house with the Pikus family for the feast. Their house was very accommodating and allowed the kids plenty of room to run around. The girls sat around and chatted and cleaned while the guys played video games and pool. We went to the movie “Bolt” that evening which was really cute and the kids loved it. The kids then put on a fabulous fashion shows where they showed off the latest trends. The next night, we were back over to play Ghost in the Grave Yard. We love to play that game with all of the kids. It is very comical to listen to the adults run around and scream like little girls. If you haven’t played in while, I strongly suggest it!

Polar Express

We went with our friends Bart & Shonnie and their 4 children on the Heber Creeper’s “Polar Express”. We went to the North Pole to pick up Santa Claus and then the kids were able to tell him what they wanted. Mrs. Claus gave each of us cookies and hot chocolate. We then read the book “Polar Express” together and sang Christmas Carols. It was a great way to begin the Holiday Season.

Zach’s Farewell!

Taylor’s brother Zach has been called to the Anchorage, Alaska mission. We are so proud of him and look forward to receiving his letters. He gave a great farewell talk and was greeted with several friends and family back at the house to say their goodbyes. We will miss you Zach!!!

WOW!

Jayden participated in the reflections contest this year in the art category. The theme was “Wow”. He decided to draw pictures of places around the world that he has visited or would like to visit some day. Although he didn’t win, he had a great time coloring and next year he decided he would like to make up a song or write a story.

HALLOWEEN

We had a great Halloween. Layne & Teresa Pace along with Mom, Dad, Noelle & Janson came over to have Soup in pumpkin bread bowls. It has been our tradition to have soup on Halloween night and use a pumpkin as a big soup bowl. The kids love it. This year it was raining slightly when it was time for the kids to head out, so Taylor jumped in the golf cart with all of the kids and away they went. They were gone for about an hour and had loads of candy to show for it. Jayden was Spiderman, Skyler a transformer & Aysia a baby cave girl. Skyler was a little disappointed when he realized his costume didn’t really transform, but he quickly got over it when he realized the amount of candy he would get while trick-or-treating.

Cornbelly’s

We decided with all of the fall activities we had participated in so far, it just wasn’t enough. So of course we had to head over to Thanksgiving point and attempt the corn maze. We were grateful for the helpful hints. It took a while, but we managed. The kids jumped on the large trampoline mats, played on the parks and pedaled some off road bikes. Noelle, Janson and myself had some mean games of tetherball – literally. One bloody nose later, sprained finger and a cut wrist, I was officially declared the winner. Bring it on!!

Jack-o-lanterns

Noelle, Janson & Lacee came over to carve pumpkins before Halloween. I let Jayden carve his very own pumpkin this year and I have to admit, he did a great job. Skyler helped me carve his and told me how he wanted it to look. Aysia had fun playing with and eating the seeds.

One Less Tooth To Brush!

Jayden finally lost his first tooth. I figured once it was hanging out sideward’s, it was time to come out. However, he wouldn’t let me get near it. Uncle Janson came over that evening and I convinced Jayden that Janson had much more dentistry skills than I. He had been to the dentist at least 3 times more than I ever had, so he was considered an expert in the area. With a little coaxing and bribing, Janson finally pulled the tooth out. And yes the tooth fairy did come, but to Jayden’s disappointment, he never saw her.

Jayden actually lost a second tooth only 3 days later on Halloween. He was at his school Halloween party when it just fell out. He was sent to the office for a special tooth holder. Eating chewy candy was not a problem this year.

We all headed to Park City for a weekend to cheer Noelle on in her racing. She was amazing as always and took 1st place both days. Several friends and family came to support her. We had a great time taking the kids swimming, playing card games and lounging around.
