Piano Recital #3

Jayden has really progressed in his piano abilities and did an amazing job at his last recital. The theme was Movie songs. He played an incredible rendition of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Last Day of School

It is officially summer and I am thrilled to have the kids home. Skyler said goodbye to Mrs. Guymon and Jayden to Mrs. Bybee. They were both incredible teachers and have made a huge difference in each of their lives. Thank you to all who teach and especially those who enjoy it!

Kindergarten Shots

Skyler has officially graduated from pre-school and is on his way to Kindergarten. It is Bitter-sweet for me, but he is excited so I am happy for him. He was excited for his pre-kindergarten "fun day" at the doctor's office as you can see on the first picture, however, it was all downhill from there. I don't know how excited he is for kindergarten after this experience.

Happy 7th Jayden

Jayden’s 7th birthday was a hit. He decided to have a Wii party and invite a few friends. Thanks to my Mom and Noelle, we pulled it off. I have a friend who is an amazing cake decorator and made Jayden’s cake. It was definitely the hit of the party – Thanks Anna. Jayden has grown so much in the last year and I am so proud of him. He enjoys playing baseball, basketball, soccer, piano, biking, water fights, late nights, lightning storms, dinosaurs, artichoke hearts and just being a busy boy. Thanks for the amazing 7 years Jayden!

Congratulations Class of 2009!!

Jared is now officially Dr. Pikus. We are so proud of him. He was accepted into Utah Valley Regional Medical Center’s residency program. He decided not to fly back for graduation so we surprised him with our own graduation ceremony. He has an amazing wife who planned it all. We are so happy to have their cute family back!

Boondocks

What a great place to spend family night. The boys had a blast playing laser tag while Aysia was daring enough to climb up and down the large indoor play-land. I think we enjoyed watching the boys playing the video games more then anything. Their facial expressions say it all.

Mommy Son Ski Day

Jayden and I went on a ski date to Snowbird over spring break. Of course we had to choose the day that snowed, but the powder was incredible. After skiing in a foot and a half of powder all day, we were exhausted. Hopefully we can make this a tradition.

Utah Roads

So I was on my way home from work the other night (2 a.m.) driving through a construction zone when all of the sudden I slammed into a pothole. Although I was going only 30-35 miles an hour, it caused an amazing amount of damage. I pulled into the nearest gas station knowing I had blown a tire only to find that both of my rims were completely bent, the wheel casing shattered, and a head light out of the socket. Lucky for me, a police officer was in the parking lot changing his tire from hitting the same pothole. We are hoping the construction company will compensate our losses.

EASTER

>
The Easter celebration started on Saturday at a local park for an Easter egg hunt. The boys were happy with their treasures although it was a cold morning. I was lucky to have the opportunity to speak at church on Easter (ha ha!) then we were off to Park City with the Robinson Clan. We had a wonderful brunch and a great visit. Then it was off to see the Pikus Family. The kids always look forward to the Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. I really look forward to all of the holidays now that the kids are the ages they are. It’s so sad they have to grow up so fast.

Painting Eggs

Noelle and Janson came over to carry out our Easter tradition of decorating Easter eggs. It also included the famous egg war, which Noelle won as well as the best decorated egg which was awarded to Taylor. It was all followed by a fabulous egg salad sandwich dinner. MMMM!!!
