Summer, Parades & Fun

We love summer festivals and fireworks. Our City hosted a carnival, parade and several activities for the family. My Mom brought Jared and Jodi’s kids and Noelle brought Lacee. Their pockets were full of candy and fliers by the time the parade was over. We then let the kids ride a few of the rides at the carnival before calling it a day.

7 kids, 7 & under!!!

Jared and Jodi decided to celebrate their anniversary and graduation with a trip to Hawaii. So I had the opportunity of taking their 4 adorable kids for 2 days. What do you do with 7 kids ages 7 and under??? If you have any suggestions let me know. I ended up taking them to the park which didn’t last long due to an incoming storm. So there I was pushing 6 kids in swings while the other played on the playground. The rain started to pour so I quickly grabbed the stroller, diaper bags, sippy cups, random shoes, candy wrappers and I’m sure a few toys that weren’t ours and shuffled everyone into an overloaded SUV. It was a nice break from the indoors. However, I must say I will never be jealous of anyone who has 3 sets of twins.

Father's & Sons

Now that the boys are old enough to enjoy an outing with Dad, I can enjoy a night with the girls. Actually, Judi, my wonderful Mother-in-law took Aysia and I spent the evening playing softball. As you can see I sent the camera with Taylor to take some fun pics of the kids during the outing and ended up with one photo. I guess better one than none!!!

Welcoming Kincade Day Pikus

Rob and Gege’s little boy, Kincade, was born May 26th. They decided to wait to know the gender until he was born. After having two little princess girl’s, a baby boy was more than welcomed. Congratulation’s Pikus family!

Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to make the Memorial Day weekend low key. I really don’t enjoy all of the crowds during holiday weekends so we stuck around and relaxed. We helped Noelle and Janson place grass in their newly landscaped yard and worked on our own yard. On Memorial Day, Jayden and I took a great bike ride up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls where we met my parents along with Skyler and Aysia for lunch. It was very relaxing. My kind of Weekend!

Baseball Season

Jayden is following in his Aunt Noelle’s footsteps and enjoys playing baseball (coach pitch). It is a bit a slow to watch at times, but mostly comical. We will have to give it a couple of years before the parent brawls start I guess.

Piano Recital #3

Jayden has really progressed in his piano abilities and did an amazing job at his last recital. The theme was Movie songs. He played an incredible rendition of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Last Day of School

It is officially summer and I am thrilled to have the kids home. Skyler said goodbye to Mrs. Guymon and Jayden to Mrs. Bybee. They were both incredible teachers and have made a huge difference in each of their lives. Thank you to all who teach and especially those who enjoy it!

Kindergarten Shots

Skyler has officially graduated from pre-school and is on his way to Kindergarten. It is Bitter-sweet for me, but he is excited so I am happy for him. He was excited for his pre-kindergarten "fun day" at the doctor's office as you can see on the first picture, however, it was all downhill from there. I don't know how excited he is for kindergarten after this experience.

Happy 7th Jayden

Jayden’s 7th birthday was a hit. He decided to have a Wii party and invite a few friends. Thanks to my Mom and Noelle, we pulled it off. I have a friend who is an amazing cake decorator and made Jayden’s cake. It was definitely the hit of the party – Thanks Anna. Jayden has grown so much in the last year and I am so proud of him. He enjoys playing baseball, basketball, soccer, piano, biking, water fights, late nights, lightning storms, dinosaurs, artichoke hearts and just being a busy boy. Thanks for the amazing 7 years Jayden!
