Magic of a Moment...
Each year the kids like to participate in the Reflections contest hosted by the national PTA. Skyler and Jayden both participated in the music category and unfortunately were competing against one another this year. Jayden, who has been in piano for 4 more years took 1st place at the school level and moved on to district and regional. The name of his song was called memories. The theme was “A magic of a moment…”. Great job kiddos! We are proud of both of you!
Spoiled Rotten!
We went to visit Great Grandma Robinson at her house before Christmas. The kids are always spoiled by her and their Great Aunt Jan. Stuffed animals and toys were flying. The cousins, Ace, Jett and Linc all wrestled with Jayden and Skyler. Always a lively bunch. We then went to eat at the Training Table, one of our favorites!
Visiting the ZOO!!
I feel like we live in a zoo, so when Grandma Woobie asked if we would like to go, I thought, you should just come visit our home… no need to go anywhere. She invited us to go see the zoo lights and the animals with the cousins; Ace, Linc & Jett. It was a lot of fun. The polar bear and sea lion were the most active and fun to watch. It was a chilly night so we bundled up and rushed home for some hot chocolate.
Dicken's Festival
The kids love seeing what the old traditional Christmas was like. The Dickens’ Festival is perfect for that. The vendors all dress up in Old English Attire and the booths are made to look like England style cottages. So fun to see. We always have to stop and get the sweetened roasted almonds and fudge. The kids bought glow in the dark helicopters as a souvenir… a little more modern
YeeHaw Christmas!
It has been a yearly tradition to go to the “Barn Party” with the Robinson family. We go on the traditional Horse carriage ride as a group while singing Christmas Carols (our favorite is the 12 days of Christmas), then back to the barn to eat hot, homemade stew. We top it off with line and square dancing. Always a fun family tradition to look forward to!
While the Boys PRANCE, Aysia will DANCE!
Aysia decided she was done with Gymnastics for a while and wanted to DANCE! She did an incredible job at her Christmas performance and was even able to show off her perfect cartwheels (she has been practicing every day).
Christmas Piano Recital
Jayden and Skyler have the most amazing Piano Teacher. Debbie is great with the kids and teaches so the kids love to play. They both did a great job at this year's Christmas recital. Jayden has been playing for almost 6 years now and Skyler 2. Way to go Boys!!!
Savior of the World
My mom was so nice to get tickets to the Savior of the World Performance at the Conference Center. We went to a nice dinner, then to the show! Jayden, Skyler, Taylor and I were all able to go and meet Shauna, Kassidi, and my parents to watch an incredible production. It has really helped set the tone for the Christmas Season!
The First Christmas
We started off the Christmas season with a special night with the Smoot family. Their ward Christmas party is always one to look forward to. We dressed in our Nativity clothes and headed to town… Literally! They gave us each “gold coins” to buy our food with after we were taxed. The program was great and Aysia was even brave enough to sing a few songs with the children’s choir. We were able to follow the bright star to the place where Mary and Joseph sat cradling the baby Jesus in the light snow. Amazing as Always!!
