A friend of mine, Shonnie and her cute kids invited us to
the Classic Fun Center during our kids holiday break. The kids played Laser
tag, jumped in the bounce houses, played tag in the playground and
rollerbladed. We love the down time during the holiday breaks! It is sad it has
to end so quickly.

Museum of Natural Curiosity
Grandma Pikus bought us a yearly pass to Thanksgiving Point. The kids
seemed to get their Moneys worth out of it in just the first couple of weeks.
They loved going to the Dinosaur Museum and the Museum of Natural Curiosity. It
will be well used!
Miscelaneous : December 2014
Auri and Traycen enjoying a lunch date, Skyler showing off his incredible engineering skills with a self made candy machine out of Lego’s that really worked and Skyler’s art work. That about sum’s up our December!
10, 9, 8, 7 ...
Noelle and Janson, Mom and Dad and Shane’s family joined us for a little New Year’s celebration. It was very low key, but just what we wanted after a fun, hectic December. The view at Mom and Dad’s was incredible as all of the fireworks around the county all went off simultaneously. And of course we were able to scream, bang on pots and let loose on the noise once the countdown was complete.

Holidays + Family = FUN
We always love when the cousins come into town. Jared and Jodi were able to come for Christmas Break this year. We loved just being able to hang out with them and have them with us for our Pikus Christmas Party. There wasn’t much snow this year, so instead of sledding, we took the kids to Kangaroo Zoo where they were able to jump and play until they were exhausted. We were also able to celebrate cute little Ammon’s birthday while they were here. We are always sad to say goodbye.
Just one little peak before morning...
Christmas is such a magical time, especially with kids. On Christmas Eve, Aysia had a hard time going to sleep on Christmas Eve. So I went in her bed to talk to her and tell her stories, when all of a sudden we heard some bells coming from outside her window. She got a little nervous that it might be Santa, so we lay under her covers until we didn’t hear anymore noise. She wondered if he had come, so being the brave Mom I am, I told her we should go take a peak. She hopped on my back and up the stairs we went. It was a little difficult to see much because we left the lights off in case we ran into the big guy and we could tell that something special was left for Aysia. Her American Girl doll was sitting out under the tree. She squealed and couldn’t contain her excitement. I told her it was time to go back to bed and we would have a better look at it in the morning. Let’s just say it was a very long night! Auri got her Frozen doll and tent, Skyler a remote control helicopter and Jayden, a monstrous Nerf gun.
Let the Christmas Vacation Begin!
I love to volunteer and help out with the kids holiday parties at school. This Christmas I was able to help out with Aysia's class party. It was the Polar Express theme. They watched part of the movie, had hot chocolate, went on a scavenger hunt and even got a visit from the Big man himself.
