Saratoga Splash

Every year we look forward to the Saratoga Splash week. This year Jayden was really able to get involved due to him being on the City Youth Council. We went to the park where they had a firetruck spraying all the kids down. There were water slides and water balloon fights. The snow cone topped it off. Then, we had to hit the carnival of course. The kids favorite ride was the Froggy. They rode it over and over. The free face painting was a bonus. Then it wouldn't be complete if we didn't attend the parade. This year, Auri was in the parade with her gymnastics team. Aysia was able to walk and cartwheel along side her as well. Jayden was at the front of the parade with the Youth Council banner and I was at the back chaperoning the cheerleaders and making sure they were continuing on with a steady pace. The city did a great job as always!

Relaxin' on the Ranch

This year we wanted to get together with Grandma and Grandpa Yates as well as the cousins and Aunts and Uncles. What better way to have a great time than go to the Ranch in Corinne? It was a perfect way to hang out, play games, talk and most of all RELAX!! The kids loved the kayaks and little motorboat on the pond. It was perfect weather to enjoy the outdoors with family.

Spiritual High

Each month for the past 2 1/2 years I have orchestrated a youth temple trip on the first Thursday of every month. Hopefully it will help the youth get into a habit of going on a monthly basis and enjoy the blessings that temples have to offer.

Hard Work Rewarded...

Both Jayden and Skyler were awarded a certificate of excellence at an awards ceremony for attaining a 4.0 grade point average all year long. They definitely worked hard for it and it is paying off.
