CHRISTMAS 2017!

Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday this year, so after going to church, we joined Rob's family and Grandma and Grandpa Pikus at Noelle and Janson's house. We had dinner, exchanged gifts and of course let the kids perform the Nativity. It was a mistake that Payton was Josph this year because he couldn't bare to see his wife Mary (AKA Lacee) ride the donkey (AKA Traycen) alone and continued to fight for who rode the donkey. Hopefully little Joseph matures a little within the next year and will allow his poor pregnant wife to ride the donkey all the way to Bethlehem.

After the get together at the Pace house, we went home and snuggled into our pajamas that Grandma and Grandpa give us every year for Christmas. We played a few games, left out some cookies and milk and got a good night sleep!

Christmas always comes way too soon each year! It means everyone is one year older. This year the boys got an Xbox, television and gaming chairs for their "mancave", Aysia got a new bike and Auri got an art set. I would say that Santa really spoiled us this year!

We all drew names for Christmas this year and Auri had my name. She was so creative and knew I needed a new Gravy boat without me asking. She decided to make one for me!!

Feeling the Holiday spirit through music

Jayden, Skyler and Aysia had the opportunity to play in the Christmas recital Ms. Debbie hosts every year. This year Jayden played a duet with Ms. Debbie and Aysia and Skyler played Frosty the Snowman as a duet. After the program was over, a special visitor arrived. Auri was more excited that she was able to tell Santa what she wanted for a 2nd time than listening to the music.

Pikus Christmas Party 2017!

Jared and Jodi were in town for part of the holidays, so it wouldn't be the same without the traditional Pikus Christmas Party! We played reverse charades, exchanged white elephant gifts and of course showcased our talents. A few of the kids decided to have headstand contests. Ammon won this year, but I am sure many kids will be practicing over the next year to take over the headstand king!
