Taylor decided to take the girls on a date to the Monster Truck Show. They were ecstatic to go until it started. Auri thought it was a little too loud and as you can see was happy when it was over. Aysia loved it even though she may have lost a little hearing and Taylor can't hear anyway after attending all the Dave Matthew's Band Concerts so he was able to enjoy it as well.

Go Grizzlies!
With as little free time as Taylor and I have, we try to go out every once in a while on a date. We enjoy most sporting events and especially Hockey. It was even better that they came away with a win!! Go Grizzlies!
Light It UP!!
It has always been a tradition of ours to have a large, artificial, decorated tree upstairs and a small real tree downstairs that the kids can decorate however they like. There is something fun about going to the tree lot and finding the perfect tree, then going home, decorating it and drinking a big cup of hot chocolate. As you can see, the kids have way too much fun decorating...
Peter Pan
We love going to plays and I will take anyone that would like to join me. Auri had a free night so we supported the local school and watched their play, Peter Pan. It was a fun play to attend and even had some of the actors "flying". The treats, of course, are always a bonus:)
By Small and Simple Things...
For our Young Women Evening of Excellence, we decided on the theme "By Small and Simple Things Are Great Things Brought To Past". Every value experience the girls pass off and project they complete leads to something more. It is by small things that we can do great things. This was the third year I have been in Young Women's and continue to love serving with the sweet youth of our ward!
Enter Sandman - AKA METALLICA!!
Metallica was coming to Salt Lake so Lars and Jessica were so nice to give a big group of us great tickets to the show as well as friends and family passes that allowed us to enjoy the show from our seats or the floor. Shana and Kyle as well as Shonnie, Bart, Shane and a few acquaintances were able to make it to the show and jam away. It was a little loud and heavy for my ears so Shauna, Shonnie and I decided to get some ice-cream. We enjoyed a looong ice-cream break and made it in just in time for the encore. Although it was my first and most likely last Metallica concert it was fun to be with friends and a great show.
Life is Sweet
To celebrate Isaac's life, the Pikus family decided to decorate and donate a tree to the yearly Festival of Trees that supports Primary Children's Hospital. Rob's company as well as others donated the funds. We chose the theme "Life is Sweet" centered around Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory since Isaac loved his sweets and it showed:) It was an incredible experience and we loved remembering sweet Isaac through it all.
