Christmas Eve 2023

 

There is never a dull moment at the Yates' house especially around the holidays. Mom was hoping to get some nice family photos on Christmas Eve, this is what she got. The kids didn't want to wait for dad to come home from a few after church meetings, so she was able to get a few crazy pictures of the kids and Grandma. Then when dad finally made it home, she was able to get a picture with dad since the kids were already in their comfy "after church" clothes.

The Paces invited us over for dinner and games for Christmas Eve. We loved playing Christmas Charade, Don't Eat Pete and unwrapping the saran wrapped gift with oven mitts. It was a casual night and so much fun as always when we get together with the Pace Family.

Ready to PAR-TAY - Christmas Style

 

The Pikus Party is always one that we all look forward to. After eating, it was game time! Bingo and cup grab were both big hits and of course the "True" white elephant gift game left us all laughing when Traycen ended up with an old portable TV & DVD player and Makai with 20,000 pieces of mint gum. The kids are all good sports to reenact the Nativity which is obviously the highlight of the night.

Mom helped out with the Westlake Drill team's Christmas Party this year. She was in charge of getting the coaches each a gift which she of course incorporated the "Wednesday" theme. 

The Yates' Christmas party was held at Jeff and Shannon's house. It was mostly eating great food and catching up with each of the families. Bingo was the game of the night and the Nativity play was darling as always. Unfortunately, the kids were too old to perform in the Nativity but enjoyed watching the younger kids show off their talent.

Always time for Friends

From High School Basketball games, to pajama parties and early morning breakfasts to Christmas Light Limo rides and game nights - It's always more fun when friends are around. December did not disappoint in the friend category for the girls.

Triple date with Isaac, Mason, Coleman, Peter (Savannah), Whitney and Aysia - Limo ride to see the lights around the town - Hot chocolate included :)

Jayden's friend Gavin Nault returned home from his mission, so of course he and his closest friends and roommate's had to take a quick trip to the airport to welcome him home.
