Pikus Family Campout

Mom reserved a few campsites at Ledgefork Campground near Oakley. With 3 trailers, 11 adults, 11 children and a few friendly squirrels, we had a great time and a little sleep. Luckily Rob’s trailer housed most of us which was interesting with 6 kids ages 4 and under. Let’s just say our sleep was a precious commodity. We hiked, biked, fished, played, painted, cooked and lounged. The kids even made a little chipmunk trap which proved successful. Of course they wanted to take the captured critter home, but he escaped before the issue was pursued. The food was incredible and we all agreed we needed to fast for the next 3 days to feel normal again. Thanks for the great vacation Pikus family!

Pioneer Day

We spent the day supporting our niece Kassidi in her softball tournament in Pleasant Grove. We were so proud of her. Then we relaxed, went miniature golfing which Taylor won and watched a few fireworks from a distance.

Fish, Fish & more Fish

Taylor had the opportunity to travel to Alaska for an amazing fishing trip with his Grandpa, Dad, Brother-in-law and Uncles. They were lucky enough to travel with Adam Eakle from Roughin' it out doors on KUTV. They ended up filming throughout the trip which aired at the end of July. Troy, Taylor's Uncle was awarded the "Biggest Fish of the Trip". It weighed in around 110lbs. We now have a freezer full of halibut and salmon. Lucky Kids!!!!

Discovery Children’s Museum

While Mikelle and Ace were up for a week visit, we decided to make a day at the Gateway. The Children’s Museum is so fun for kids of all ages. They loved the construction site, store and water area the best. We then went for lunch and lounged around the fountains. What a great way to spend a summer day!

Where we belong – THE ZOO!

We finally felt at home while visiting the zoo. The kids were their wild normal selves and messy little eaters, but they finally kicked us out. We must have been too crazy for them. We had such a great time with both Grandma Robinson and Pikus to join us. Mikelle and Ace were up for the week so we were able to enjoy some of the local activities we don’t typically find time for. Bethany and her two adorable kids met with us as well. We went to the elephant show and bird show which was really entertaining and highly recommended. Thanks for the great day gals!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!

We had a great 4th of July with the Yates’. We went to the local town festival where the only rides available were man powered. It was quite comical. We watched people dance and enjoyed relaxing under the fireworks. Aysia wasn’t so sure about them at first and decided to cover her eyes a majority of the time. She continued to say how awesome they were after though.

Yates’ Family Vacation

We were finally able to get away with the Yates’ for a little vacation. We started off with a little boating excursion at Pineview reservoir. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We stayed in some condominiums in Wolf Creek where the guys played golf and the kids enjoyed swimming. We were then able to enjoy 4th of July fireworks at a local small town. Vacations always end way too soon.

Swim Lessons

It’s that time again to take a dip in the pool, relax and enjoy the sun. Once again, the boys attended their yearly swim lessons. Lauren, their teacher, focused on diving this year. Jayden was able to ride the slides by himself this year. He is a little fish. Skyler continues to progress and attempts to dive (A.K.A belly flop). My mom came along for a couple of the sessions for a little sun. We brought Lacee along who is also a little fish, but doesn’t know how to swim.

Happy Father’s Day!!

I wanted to wish all of the Daddy's out there a Happy Father’s Day.

Taylor is an incredible husband and father. He is an amazing cook and if he has the time will often times be seen in the kitchen more than me. He helps with the household duties and even changes stinky diapers if he is home. Love you Bud!

My Dad always has a story to share along with some advice. He is always looking out for the underdog and concerned about others wellbeing. He has an amazing heart and will always be looked up to by all of the grandkids who absolutely adore him.

My Grandpa is the silent listener who enjoys the company of others and avoids any spotlight. He loves spending time with the grandkids and attending all of our softball games. Love you Guys!!!

Chuckee Cheese

Skyler decided he wanted to celebrate his birthday at Chuckee Cheese. So he invited his cousins and a couple of friends and enjoyed his “Transformer” birthday party. We also celebrated the remainder of Aysia birthday. She loved all of the new dress up clothes she received and wanted to put them on right away.
