The girls were asked to perform at the Utah Royals half time show. They learned a dance that included the Luxelle's and Jr. Luxelle's which was super fun for the girls to perform together. It was definitely a little chilly, but Grandma Pikus, Dad and Mom braved the cold weather and cheered loud. The Royals lost the game but at least we had great half time entertainment!
After Aysia's hospital stay from her burst appendix, she received good news that her drain was able to come out on Monday and she could start to dance the following day. With All-State tryouts on Thursday, Aysia really had to push herself since she hadn't danced in over 9 days. She was selected by her coach Lexi along with Brynlee and Annie to represent All-State. After 2 callbacks, they announced the team of 21 girls around the state in 6A schools that were selected to be part of the All-State Team and Aysia's name was called! It was such a long 2 weeks. Prayers were heard, prayers were answered and miracles were witnessed. She gave it her all with Heavenly Father by her side. Unfortunately Annie and Brynlee didn't get nominated but they were happy for Aysia especially after the long week she had.
Aysia asked mom if she could get tickets for her and Peter to go watch the Weber State Dance Showcase and support her old teammate Lily and say hello to coach Erika. They finished so strong this past year and were invited to compete at Worlds. Aysia is excited to give it her all to try out for the team in the spring.
The Luxelle's were able to perform their military combo for the first time at a basketball half time show. They did a great job for it being their first time performing it, we can't wait to see it during competition season!
