While Skyler has been patiently waiting for his Visa to be approved, he has been enjoying the North Dakota Mission and loving the people there. He was able to load up on all the heavy snow gear since he didn't even pack a suit jacket for Jamaica. His Visa was finally approved and his flights are scheduled for January 31st. He has been making the most of his time in ND. From ice fishing to hours of shoveling driveways and from Blizzards to watching Monster's Ink approved by the mission president due to lengthy blizzards. Skyler was even able to use some of his limited sign language skills he learned over 3 years in high school when they knocked on a door and the gentleman was def. Skyler took the opportunity to explain who they were and give him a message in broken sign language, but the spirit was very strong as he was able to do so. It was Skyler's first Christmas away from home, but luckily the members there took care of him. One down, one to go!
