Celebrating Noelle... and Utah!

Noelle was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Utah Summer games. My mom and dad joined myself in the kids for a little trip to go honor her at the opening ceremonies. They had a dinner and banquet prior to the ceremonies. They honored her along with 4 others. One was another Olympic athlete going to London to run the 15,000 meter, and others were local people who have given back to the community. The opening ceremonies had a group of extreme bike and motorcycle riders that were really entertaining. We decided to make a trip out of it so we headed over to Zion National Park the next morning. Noelle and Janson wanted to camp, so they brought a tent and Mom, Dad and I stayed in the attached hotel room. I let Aysia and Lacee stay with me in the room and the boys stayed with Janson and Noelle in the tent. Lacee had a little struggle. She suffers from occasional night terrors at night and decided to have an episode in the Hotel room. Talk about a little stressful. It started at 11:00. She would scream and I couldn’t console her. Noelle and Janson usually let her ride them out at home, but I couldn’t do that when I have neighbors to the side of me, above me and below me. It went on and off for 3 hours so I finally had to find my way to Noelle and Janson’s campsite and let them take care of her. They said she was able to settle down after a few minutes. I hope she grows out of it. At Zions, we took a little hike, played in the river where we found thousands of pollywogs. We went to the lodge and had ice cream and just sat at the park and visited. It was nice to get back there. It has been a while.
