Our Hotel was just around the corner from this beautiful Grand Central Station. We stayed at the Roosevelt.
It was time to hit the city running. We started at Rockefeller Center where we admired the ice skaters. Although it looked fun, we didn't have time to waste. We had a big city to see.We made our way towards the LDS temple which is a beautiful sight to see among all the hustle and bustle of the city.
We loved the classic NY buildings with all of the fire escapes on the outside of the buildings.
The subway was our transportation during the trip. Between the 4 of us, we were able to get around fairly easily. We decided to take a little detour to the famous Levain's bakery. While we were there we found 2 missionaries in the area and started to talk to them. We were lucky enough to find one of the Elders was Julia's good friend's son. It is definitely a small world. We bought them each a cookie and they asked if we could all have a short prayer, right there in the middle of the NY streets. It was amazing. They challenged us to find someone to share the Book of Mormon with. So we accepted and gave it to a girl that we offered our subway passes to at the end of our trip.
We took this picture joking about the last NY trip I had with my friend Shonnie who choked on some meat at a restaurant. Thankfully she was able to get it down, however the NY Firemen and Paramedics came anyway. It made for a good story.
We were told on a couple of occasions that we looked like the Charlie's Angels so we couldn't go without a photo with us posing as them!
