It wouldn't feel like Halloween without all of the fun festivities! For our combined YW's night we went to the outlets at Traverse Mountain for a Troll scavenger hunt and find where we tried to find all of the hidden trolls around the shops. We found them all even though our group didn't take 1st we had a great time!
Auri and a few of her friends bought season passes to Cornbellie's this year. She definitely got her money's worth this year as her and her friends went once or twice a week.
One night we decided to watch Halloween Movies while putting a Halloween puzzle together. We love our fall nights and scary movies!
It wouldn't be Halloween without carving pumpkins! Skyler was able to come home and carve pumpkins with us. The trick is not to carve them too early. We have done that before and they look so sad and gruesome that we had to throw them away before the BIG day!
For Auri's dance party at United they asked her to dress up as Gru from Minions and everyone else would dress up as a Minion. Unfortunately Auri didn't tell mom about it until the day before the party so trying to find a "Gru" costume the week of halloween in the stores was impossible. So this is what we came up with!;) We ordered a bald cap on amazon, mom found striped material at Walmart she cut to make it look like a scarf and then had to hot glue a nose together with peach colored felt from our craft room. Although mom thought it turned out amazing (haha) for being so last minute, Auri opted NOT to be Gru for actual Halloween day - Who could blame her
Aysia also needed a last minute costume for Drill, she was going to be Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. So mom had to rummage through all of our clothes and costumes and came up with this. She was able to get it over to Lily to take up to Weber the next day.
Mom matching with Lucy, a young woman at church one Sunday
Mom offered to buy haunted house tickets for Jayden, Nici, Skyler and a date to go together as a double date. Skyler invited Alicia McGary who he started hanging out with recently. They went to Nightmare on 13th Street in Salt Lake and went to dinner after. We are all glad they made it out alive!
Mom loves to decorate for each holiday, but tries to keep it simple. If it takes longer than an hour to decorate she wants no part of it. So this is what 1 hour of Halloween Decorating looks like at our house!
