LAKE POWELL 2025

Our first day at Lake Powell, Dad decided to go find a spot up stream up. He decided to take the newly fixed Bayliner with Jayden and Nici to find a good spot for our trip. Mom stayed back to get the houseboat ready and head up stream. Just as we started the head up, we realized one of the motors was not working and it would be impossible to go very far. Mom tried calling dad, Jayden and Nici several times but there is very limited service. She finally received a very quick call saying they were heading up Hansen Creek and then the line went dead. We finally decided to find a nearby spot to try and fix the motor and waited for them to come back. After 2 hours of not returning, mom took the Mastercraft up stream to go search for them. She found them at the very end of Hansen Creek dead in the water. She was grateful for the quick phone call directing her where they might have been. It was then a very LOOONG tow ride back to the houseboat where we decided we would stay for the remainder of the trip since we only had one working boat. It was still a great spot with sand and close to the marina for gas and ice cream.

The kids volunteered to make taco night one night. They even went the extra mile and had Mexican music playing as we entered the houseboat. We may need to make this a nightly tradition next year!

We had our annual Halls Bay ice cream stop. While there we found a few huge spiders and fed the carp bread.

We decided to head downstream one day to explore. We ended up in Lake Canyon where we found the most amazing hike (or walk) through a stream. It kept us cool the entire time and the bonus was a waterslide at the end of the hike. It will definitely have to be a hike we do for years to come.

There is always a project or two that we find Taylor and Dad working on each trip. This trip was of course trying to fix the broken motor. Unfortunately the part they needed had to be ordered.

From cliff jumping to tubing, and hiking to playing night games, Lake Powell has always been and always will be one of our favorite vacations!

We always have extra kids we bring along if we have the room. This year it was Nici's first time in Lake Powell, we also brought Peter and Auri's friend Cassidy. Jack brought his friend Jake and Regan brought Gaby
