For Christmas, our family and the Hafen’s decided to give
Grandma Woobie a trip to Bryce Canyon. After
coordinating our dates, we found the first week in March to work for all of us.
There were a few large snowstorms that left 1-2 feet of snow on the ground. At
first we were a little disappointed, but after packing all of our “cold winter
gear” and arriving, we were ecstatic! It was beautiful! Seeing the bright white
fresh snow against the red rocks and clear blue sky was breath taking.
The kids all swam in the indoor swimming pool,
and enjoyed the hike down into the canyon the next day. We even tried a little
snowshoeing with the snowshoes grandma brought. The kids found a little snow
chute they were able to slide down and made their own playground. It was a
fairly warm day and the kids didn’t complain about the cold at all. We then
took a little scenic drive around the park. It was a perfect get away before
the warm season starts!
