For Skyler’s 5th grade science fair project, he wanted to research about growing plants because he enjoys gardening. Lucky for him, his mom is in a career where radiation is readily available. He wanted to prove that radiation would stunt or stop the growth of the seeds. Surprisingly, it did the opposite. Those seeds that were given the highest doses of radiation grew the largest and the fastest. He was awarded 1st place in his school, then once again in the district. He made it to the regional level where he was once again awarded the 1st place trophy as well as the award for “World Agriculture”. Nice Job Skyler!
