Aysia's dance team was invited to dance at Disneyland, so naturally we made a girls trip out of it. Actually, we invited the boys but they were nervous to miss too much school. Grandma Pikus came along for the journey. The first day we flew into Los Angeles. We couldn't check into our hotel yet so we drove by Grandma's old stomping grounds in Inglewood. She showed the girls her high school and the house she grew up in. We then made our way to Manhattan Beach. California was having record hot temperatures so we lucked out and swam the afternoon away. The girls made a sandcastle and did a few tricks on the beach. We went to the little aquarium they have at the end of the pier where the girls were able to touch star fish and sea urchins.
