Making Lemons into Lemonade

We were all packed to head to the airport for Singapore. Grandma Woobie met us at our house so that we could fit all the luggage packed with donations for the orphanage into both cars. We were just heading out the door when Uncle Rob called to say that our flight had been cancelled!! We decided to head up to the airport anyway. On the way up we called United Airlines and they said that there were no flights out for 6 days!! We were thinking at that moment that we were not going to go. We were devastated. She came back and said that they had one flight out on Saturday (2 days later) but would charge us $600. We were going to take it until the United Rep at the counter said we shouldn't have to pay due to is being the airlines fault. So we were still able to head out, but not for 2 days. The kids were bummed and thought they would have to go to school the next day. Of course we aren't that mean. Noelle was going to go watch the Women's Skeleton race in Park City, but it got cancelled so we all ended up meeting up at a trampoline park where the kids played. We then went to eat Asian food and then to the movie "Wonder". We actually had a really enjoyable day. We ended up leaving the next later morning. Rob's family ended up in NY and couldn't fly out until a day after us. At least we were still able to make the trip!
