On the third day, we headed to Haight and Ashbury in the morning not realizing that the shops don't open until about 10-11 AM. We found an alley way to take a picture when a homeless man approached us for some money. A little scary, but we told him we would buy him a sandwich at McDonalds. We didn't stay long. We then walked around the wharf, went shopping and watched the seals lay out on the docks. We had lunch and headed to Alcatraz. It was a great tour and amazing how secure it was and the stories of attempted escapes. It was a little colder day, so we tried to stay indoors as much as possible.
