Roller Coaster Hill!

We weren't sure if we were going to continue with our vacation after Isaac's passing, however Jared and Jodi insisted. Taylor and I rented a trailer and towed it up to the mountains by Garden City - Bear Lake.  There were 3 other trailers. One for each family and Rob, of course tented it with his kids. Shauna and Kyle brought the 4-wheelers up and did an incredible job finding the camp site. It was perfect for our large family. They set up all the kitchen and had everything ready for us once we came up. They were amazing. The day before Jared and Jodi came, we went to the lake to go swimming. The water was a little chilly so we headed over to the pool. The kids had a great time. We loved the evening fires at night. The next day, Jared talked us all into going on a hike to a little lake. The kids played on the shoreline and we watched people jumping in with a rope swing. We then headed to town for PIZZA and SHAKES!! The next day was Sunday so we attended church. We were lucky enough to have Elder Cook there visiting. It was good that Jared and Jodi came and were able to ask him a few questions regarding death. Elder Cook's testimony was amazing. It was simple. He said that he "know's his Saviors face". It was powerful. During the day, Shauna had little games for the kids. Writing their names with items they found and finding items the colors that they found on their papers. That night, after dinner we had our own testimony meeting. The spirit felt there was so strong. We rarely hear one another's testimonies. I hope we continue to make it a tradition. We are grateful that despite the recent circumstances we still got together with those we love. Life is too short not to see each other as often as possible. It was a great trip! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Pikus for making these memories happen!!
