It wouldn't be Easter without our traditional egg wars. After decorating eggs, we try to see whose egg survives the longest without cracking. Once is is cracked on both ends from war, the egg is then peeled. So the goal is to keep winning so you don't have to peel as many eggs! The eggs are then ground up to make our annual Eggs-Ala-Golden Rod breakfast - our family's favorite!
Never a dull moment at the Yates house. We invited Grandma Woobie to join us for Easter service and Breakfast. It was then over to Grandma and Grandpa Pikus's house for an Easter Egg hunt and Easter dinner. The kids were spoiled with their findings! We love celebrating our Savior and his sacrifice for us. We are grateful for the knowledge that we have that he lived and died and now LIVES again.
