No End to Dancing... It's the season that keeps on GIVING!

Westlake's second Drill Competition was 2 weeks after Aysia's surgery. She was still sore but knew she was clear to dance. She didn't do as well as she typically did on her solo but definitely gave herself some grace considering the circumstances.  The team performed well but realized they had some work to do in order to get ready for the next competition including Region. The goal was to beat American Fork.

Auri loved being part of the Jr. Luxelle team and was excited for her future with the Westlake Drill team. They were able to perform at basketball half time shows and in between routines at the Region Drill Team Competition.

It was fun to see the support of Aysia's friends at the Drill Competitions, mom made sure to have a bag of candy to share for all those that came to support her. Duncan was probably her biggest fan and made sure everyone knew it. The Drill team continued to move up at each competition and changed the dances according to the judges remarks. They wanted to be ready for Region!

REGION DRILL COMPETITION 2025 - LEHI HIGH SCHOOL

The Junior Luxelle's were able to perform at the Region Drill Competition held at Lehi High School. They did a great job! We are excited to see the future of Westlake Drill!

The Region competition was everything Westlake had hoped for and more. They were able to beat American Fork and take 2nd overall!!! They were so excited after having such a rough start not to mention one of their better dancers tore her ACL the day before the competition. The alternate did an incredible job taking her spot but the team and Annaliese, the dancer was heartbroken for her season ending injury. She had big plans wanting to dance in college but God had other plans for her. Aysia was awarded Academic All Region. It was a great way to end the night! Now they needed to prepare for Semi-Finals!

Westlake Team Party - Getting ready to compete at Semi-Finals!

Once we knew Westlake was making it straight to Semi-Finals, mom took a few Drill girls to the last Region competition in Davis County in order to find out all of the placements and who Westlake would be facing off at the next competition.

Westlake Drill Team State Dinner at Makaiya Wright's House. Hoping the results will lead the team to another State Finals, This would be Aysia's 3rd State Finals out of the 4 years on Drill

Nolan has been a big part of the girls dancing careers. He became one of their teachers when Aysia was in 7th grade and pushed her to be so much better and to believe in herself. Aysia asked him to choreograph her final solo and did an incredible job. Although Aysia moved dance studios he showed up to support her on multiple occasions to cheer her on. Everyone needs a Nolan in their life!
