Since all of the kids have different spring breaks (UVU, University of Utah, Westlake High School & Vista Heights Middle School) mom decided to do a "Stay-cation" and invite the kids that could join for certain things to come along. 1st up was taking Auri and her friends Kayia, Shae and Vienna to Color me mine where they all painted a bowl.
Now that Utah has an NHL team, we invited G-Woobs to join us for a hockey game. They are definitely exciting although we are sad the Utah Grizzlies will no longer be local due to the Mammoths moving into town.
Mom decided to rent a condo in Park City for a night. Auri, Jayden and Nici joined us. We walked Main Street, shopped, swam, ate pizza, drank hot chocolate and played games. It was a fun little get away sine we didn't have much time to go anywhere else. Nicci mentioned she has lived in Utah nearly her entire life and stayed in Park City many, many times but never been to Main Street. We were glad she could be there to experience it with us!
We lucked out with an RSL game over Spring Break. We ate at our favorite Sushi restaurant in Sandy - Lee Sushi and headed to the game enjoying the spring weather.
Aysia wasn't able to join us for a majority of Spring Break due to dance, school and her own friend trips. She invited Peter, Boston and Andrew over to decorate cakes. She was then able to make a trip to St. George with several of her friends. Duncan's parents rented a home for the kids to stay in. They swam, played games, went to the temple, movies, had card night and ate great food.
Spring Break usually falls on Conference weekend. We love lounging in our pajamas, taking notes, painting or putting a puzzle together while we listen. We enjoyed having dad home without meetings all weekend and loved eating dinner and playing outdoor games that evening.
