Big travels for a girl of 8 years!

I have to admit, I am taking these pictures and the script from Noelle's blog. I wasn't able to go to Costa Rica with Aysia, so I am posting from what Noelle so graciously wrote! Thanks for caring for Aysia and letting her have an experience of a lifetime! We miss you Noelle and Janson and cousins!!!

We had a pretty busy week to say the least. We hiked volcanoes, visited the zoo, went to the one and only amusement park in Costa Rica (and it is $8 per person!), saw the biggest ox cart in the world, and had a couple celebrations along the way. By the middle of it all, everyone just wanted to hang out in the hammocks and not go anywhere. Ha ha ha!

We hiked to Volcan Poas! And yes, this is the second time we have used our jackets here. Ironically, it gets pretty chilly on the volcanoes!

The suspension bridges in Monte Verde were pretty incredible.  The longest one we crossed was close to 1,000 feet. There was a mist around us constantly because of the heavy cloud coverage.

FYI: There are over 1400 species of Lilacs here!

Lacee had "the awesomest birthday EVER!" And I have to admit, we all loved it as well.

During her trip here, Aysia got sick. (Probably from seeing the blast out...) She was such a trooper! She had a fever of 103, a sore throat and hurt ears...and she still smiled through it all. This was us waiting at the doctor's office for her antibiotics.

24 hours later she was ready to go again!

The girls begged and begged for a makeover. They look WAY too grown up! I am really not ready for them to grow up!

Lacee, Traycen, Aysia, and their friend, Emma, all decided that they wanted to earn money for poor people. They went on a mission to collect rocks and leaves, then they painted them all, then they sold them...every last one.

They pulled our kitchen table outside and set up their business as all of the students were making their way home from school. Every time we drive downtown and see "poor people", the kids pull out their money bag and give them a coin.

SWIMMING IN JANUARY!
