DAY 1 - Vegas
We left on a Friday afternoon. We checked the kids out early from school and stopped by to pick Grandma and Grandpa up. Originally, it was supposed to be us and Grandma and Grandpa. We invited anyone else that wanted to join us to come along, however, everyone's schedules were busy during this time. A few weeks before we left, Noelle mentioned that the L.A. mission President called her and asked if she could speak. It would be a great Missionary tool. There were 2 dates that would work for her and one of them was the week that we were planning on being down there. So Noelle and Janson were able to join us for the first part of the trip. Then, the morning that we were leaving, Rob asked what our plans were for the day. I thought that they might need me to watch the kids because they were getting ready to move and I told him unfortunately I was packing to leave out of town. He said he knew we were leaving, but wondered when because Gege needed alone time to get the house ready to sell. He was wanting to join us for the weekend. So he decided to surprise Dad and fly down to Vegas with the kids to hang out. So it was quite the adventure. Dad was definitely surprised. We all met up for ice-cream that night at Serendipities. What a great way to start our road trip!
