LAKE POWELL

We planned a Lake Powell trip with all those that wanted to join us from the Yates' family. Grammy and Grandpa decided to give it one last try. Grammy really wanted to see Lake Powell again and Grandpa was ecstatic. Troy came along with Jordyn and Blake and John and Mikelle came down with their boys. Lauryn tagged along with us as well. Unfortunately, Grammy was only able to tolerate the trip for a few hours. She slept in the hotel that night and decided she was unable to continue. So, just as we were arriving in the morning, they were leaving for home. So we said our hellos and goodbyes. Troy was able to find an amazing camp site. When we pulled around the corner, it was difficult to see where our tents would be set up, but it was hidden behind a large mound of sand and rocks. It was shaded for about 21 hours out of the day so it kept it a little cooler. John and Mikelle were smart and brought an AC unit to cool their tent down at night. They said it worked really well. We had a great trip. Fishing, wake boarding (I was finally able to get up), tubing, hiking, cliff jumping, and of course just SWIMMING. The kids all got along great. Lake Powell is always one of our favorite trips to look forward to!
