DAY 2 - Calico, San Pedro

After heading out of Vegas, we decided to stop by Calico on the way to California. It is an old mining town from the 1800s. We have been there before and the kids begged us to stop again. There are old artifacts to see, gift shops, gun shows, museums, ice-cream parlors, and a little tour which the kids like the best. It was one of the hottest days of the year that day (100 degrees), so the ice-cream was perfect to cool us down.
After Calico, we headed to San Pedro. It was Dad's birthday that day so Pat made an amazing dinner and we surprised her with our added guests. It was fun to get all of the cousins together. They really got along well. Regina and the girls put on a little wedding production. Andy, Sabrina, Sam and Brian with all of their kids joined us as well. It was a full house, but so thankful that Pat let us join her that night. Sabrina made cakes for Dad's birthday. Great company, weather, view of the ocean and sunset. What a perfect birthday present for Dad!
