Saying goodbye to summer

The first day of school is always bitter sweet. I get excited for the changing of the seasons and look forward to a routine again; however, I always miss the lazy days of summer. Going for hikes, walks, parks, picnics, amusement parks, trips and most of all watching evening lightning storms on the back porch with an ice-cream cone. Back to school! They are getting so big. This will be Auri's first year of pre-school. She is obviously excited to be like the big kids!
