DAY 7 - Universal Studios
After a day of relaxation, we were ready to hit the next amusement park, Universal Studios. We didn't get there when we wanted due to traffic, however, it was very empty that day. We were able to get on every ride right away. The longest we had to wait in line was about 15 minutes. We were able to ride all of the rides, including the tour, at least once and some twice. The Jurassic Park ride seemed to be the kids favorite. Grandma took her jacket and put her hood on because she thought she might get wet. But after seeing the people get off, she noticed it must not have been as bad as she thought. So she brought her hood down and Wooosh! She sat in the worst spot on the boat for someone not wanting to get wet. She was drenched. We laughed about how ironic it was that the kids wanted to get wet and they didn't get a drop. We were all exhausted before the park closed, but felt that we got everything in that we wanted to. A great way to end our California trip.
The next morning, it was time to pack up and head out. Before we left, we stopped by the shopping district and spent the rest of our cash there on some fun clothes and shoes. We didn't get out of LA area when we wanted and got stuck in the holiday traffic (Memorial Day). It took us two hours to go 20 miles. We were grateful to get out of the overpopulated city, but really enjoyed the trip altogether.
