Jayden, Skyler and Dad headed down to Lake Powell early in the week and the girls followed a few days later. We were invited to go down with Dad's business partner, Zach. We typically go to Bullfrog, but this time we enjoyed Antelope Point near Page, Arizona. We ended up buying a surf boat from Zach this year which was fun since we haven't surfed much in the past. The kids all got up, other than Auri who likes to stick to Knee Boarding. Jayden also caught a fish with his bare hands while he was paddle boarding in a cove by the house boat. There were a few very large wind storms that came up and we had to re-anchor the boat down as well as our neighbors boats. Dad ended up staying down there for 2 weeks since he had business meetings the second week.
Zach introduced us the the "Labyrinth". It's a hike, about a mile long that is considered a very narrow slot canyon. Although it was hot, we had shade most of the hike. We found a small nest with little chicks that had just hatched and our hike ended when a baby rattle snake was blocking the trail. We didn't dare try to go around, but it was an incredible hike and well worth the swim it took to get there!
