For spring break, I asked the kids where they would like to go. I let them do all of the planning, including the hotels, but within a budget. They decided each hotel had to have a swimming pool, free parking and a free breakfast. They decided on a West Coast Vacation... Let the Fun Begin!
We ended up renting an SUV since we were going to be packing on the miles over the next 10 days. It was roomy, unlike some of our squishy car trips we have endured over the years to save on gas. We decided to check the kids out of school early on Friday so we could make it up to Jared and Jodi's at a decent hour. We drove to Riggins where we stopped for a bite to eat. The driving went fast especially since we started listening to the 4th book of Harry Potter. Once we arrived at the Pikus Home, it was all chaotic fun with the cousins. Right away, they wanted to make us churros and Jesee and Auri put on a little play for us. It was nice to get out of the car and relax after our long 10 hour drive.
