Thunder Ridge Elementary Presents... LION KING!

Aysia loves acting and once she heard that her school would be performing Lion King for their next play, she was really hoping to get the part of Timon. Luckily during her auditions, Mr. Smith asked her to say a few lines with a New York accent. I didn't realize that she was a natural because she had never practiced it. Apparently she did okay because she got the part!! She was so excited. I was able to go to all but one of the 5 performance. She did an amazing job and made some amazing friends!

After one of the performances I took Aysia and Jill to Arctic Circle for ice-cream. They decided on the way there that they would sing "The Circle of Life" in front of random strangers. Luckily a few others from the play had the same idea with celebrating with ice-cream so they joined in and put on a great performance! I was impressed they were brave enough  to do it! Great job kiddos!

Along with family near and far coming to support her, she had her dance team come enjoy the show including Lilly who was Timon in her Elementary play earlier in in the year with Lacee.

Unfortunately, this was Mr. Smith's last year directing the play since he will be working at the District Offices next year. It was a great last play for Aysia!
