We stopped by Paul Bunyan and his Blue Ox's Souvenir shop before heading on to hike around the redwoods. We stopped by Big Tree which is the 15th largest redwood tree in the world. The kids were amazed by there size. When we were first coming into the Redwood area, the trees were getting a little bigger and they would ask continually if each one we passed was a redwood. It wasn't until we saw a real redwood that they realized the other trees we were seeing were miniatures of what was to come.
We continued our Journey South where we drove around the "Avenue of the Giants". At the end of it, we stopped at the "Drive Through Tree", but unfortunately because of the very wet spring they had, the road became too dangerous to drive on, but they allowed us to walk through it as well as a few of the cute play houses that were made from Redwood Trees.
