To begin the 4th of July off right, dad made 4th of July star scones with maple brown sugar frosting. We were ready to celebrate our country!
We loved floating the river last 4th of July so we decided to do it again this year. Aysia brought Whitney along and Auri brought Kaitlyn. Unfortunately Jayden's tube got a hole in it and he was the last one behind in our group. He had to hustle up to Whitney and Aysia where they were able to share a tube for the remainder of the float so Jayden could float rather than walk the rest of the river which was not very deep at this time of year. The weather was perfect!
Dad made some BBQ ribs and bought some aerial fireworks to light off. Only Jayden joined us as we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Pikus's house to share our food and fireworks since the girls had other plans with friends. We brought our cornhole game which mom opted to watch Dad and Jayden play since she has a terrible throw. We watched a few fireworks from their house, lit a few of our own and headed home where we were able to climb on top of our roof to watch a few fireworks from around the valley. We definitely miss our old view but had a great night and day with friends and family!
