It's always hard to say goodbye to summer. With both boys being home and waiting for school to start, we got some "end of the summer fun" in. The kids hot-tubbed, played in the lake at the park after a storm, went boating and started a new outdoor soccer season. Skyler invited Henry and Brayden who both recently returned from missions out on the lake with us. It had been a while since Skyler had surfed but picked it right back up where he left off.
Now that school was starting, Westlake held their yearly "Senior Sunrise" where the seniors were invited to sleep out on the field and watch the sunrise. They were lucky for a beautiful morning. Aysia was able to find her friends and snap a picture showing their changes from 7th to 12th grade. Aysia, Whitney, Wyatt, Emmi, Katelyn and Cash. The boys definitely had a growth spurt!
Aysia's Drill team was invited to perform their hip hop routine they learned at Epic at an RSL game. It was a beautiful night and the Yates family never gives up an excuse to cheer on our favorite team along with our favorite dancers! Grandma Woobie and Nicolette were able to join us to support RSL and Aysia as well. They did a great job and although RSL lost, we still had a great time and had some great Chinese food as our tradition goes before the game. Go RSL, Go Luxelles!
