We love our yearly Easter traditions. We invited Grandma Woobie over for church and breakfast which of course included our traditional "Egg Wars". Mom's eggs didn't fair very well, Aysia and Auri won the competition this year. It wouldn't feel like Easter without the famous Eggs Ala Golden Rod for Breakfast. As you can see the kids were good sports about mom wanting an Easter family picture. Good luck finding one that we all look normal and have a pleasant smile on our face:)
We headed to Grandma and Grandpa Pikus's house for our yearly treasure hunt. Jayden happened to find the coveted "Golden Egg" this year. The kids were all happy with the money and goodies they found in the rest of their eggs. Although Easter is filled with activities and fun, we make sure we remember the true reason for celebrating this day. We are forever grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ and the knowledge we have been given knowing because of his sacrifice we will be forgiven of our sins and return to live with him and others who have passed away before us.
