Elder Yates remained in Old Harbor where he would routinely walk 8-10 miles a day since they didn't have a car. It was during these long walks they were able to meet people along the way and even make new friends who would be interested in the discussions on occasion. He has always loved hanging out with kids and they seem to have fun hanging with him as well.
