Auri's birthday fell the night before school was to start so mom told Auri she could have a party earlier in the day or if she wanted to play "Fugitive" like she wanted she would have to wait until the weekend. She was a little bummed but agreed to have a family party on Monday and the friend party on Friday. Mom made her an ice-cream cake for her birthday and Grandma and Grandpa Pikus as well as Grandma Woobie joined us to sing and open gifts.
For her actual party, Mom and Dad drove the girls to the Bluffdale splash park where they ate pizza and cupcakes and played in the water. Although it was August, a cold, windy front came in which made it a little chilly in the water but the girls didn't mind. Auri invited her entire dance team as well as a few friends. It was a big group but they had a good time. They headed home where they changed out of their swimsuits and got ready to play Fugitive. They had time for 2 rounds. Mom and Dad were able to catch a majority of them before they made it to Neptune Park. It was a great week of celebrating a beautiful girl!
