Lake Powell Take II

We were originally supposed to go to Lake Powell in June, but when we realized the dates were wrong, we postponed until August. We were originally supposed to leave Thursday and get on the boat on Friday so we could be there for 5 full days and Aysia could be there for at least 4 days. However, due to Rob's passing we weren't sure if it would work since the funeral was Saturday and we wouldn't be able to leave until Sunday. We knew we really needed this and Gege wanted their own family time so we decided to make it happen and extend a day. So what was supposed to be 5 days became 4, but worth every minute. Jayden brought his friend Tayson and Aysia brought her friend Izzy. 

We tubed, hiked, went wake boarding, paddle boarding, fished, played games, cliff jumped, explored downstream, and of course ate great food. Our cousin "Timmy" even showed up to give Tayson and Izzy a little scare. Our theme song for the trip was "You and Me Goin' Fishing in the Dark" and was sang on a regular basis throughout the week. It was a much needed trip and we were grateful that both boats were working well which doesn't always happen on every Lake Powell trip. We also lucked out with weather and had clear skies the entire trip. It is definitely a trip we look forward to every year with the Wright family.
