Homecoming Week 2023

Ayisa was out with the family one night when she got a text from her friend Izzy asking if she would be home soon. She said there was something waiting for her on the porch. Aysia assumed it would be Kellen for Cash since they had showed interest in possibly asking her. To her surprise she saw it was Isaac Jenkins whom she had been friends with since 7th grade. She was super excited to go with him to Homecoming.

Homecoming week was fun as always, the girls cheered the powder puff teams on and the Juniors won this year. Aysia would have loved to play but signed up a little too late. There were a few boys that signed up to learn a drill dance that the girls choreographed and taught them that they performed at the halftime show at the powder puff game.

Mom helped plan, decorate and set up the Luxelle's homecoming dinner before the game. It turned out so nice and the Senior girls were able to say a little something to the younger girls and what they had experienced while being on the drill team. It was then time to perform!

After the Drill team performed with dance company, cheer and the band, they announced the homecoming king, queen, princess and prince. Aysia's friend Izzy was awarded homecoming princess and Izzy's Ex-boyfriend, Gavin was the prince. It was fun to cheer Izzy on.

Since Isaac played football Ayisa thought it only appropriate to write his number on her cheek and cheer him on at the homecoming football game once she changed after the half-time performance. The next day was homecoming. They went to the aquarium in Salt Lake and out to lunch. After they got ready, Isaac came to pick her up for pictures and dinner at Derek Anderson's house (who used to live in our house before they moved to Lehi). After eating and going to the dance, they headed back to Derek's house for a pool party and watch a movie. It was a great date and Aysia was excited to get to know him better.
