This was definitely a memorable 4th of July! The girls did their hair to match the occasion and we invited the Pace family, Grandma and Grandpa Pikus and Grandma Woobie to join in the celebration. We were supposed to be in Washington DC for the big day, but we were happy to spend it with family. We barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs and waited until the sun set. The firework displays were far larger and longer than any year we remember. Looking over the valley, we realized people were taking their vacation money and using it all to buy fireworks, haha! It was incredible! The full moon was just an added bonus. We weren't able to light any fireworks ourselves due to the dry weather, but we took advantage of everyone else's displays. We love the freedoms we possess and pray for the leaders of the nation to continue to fight for the rights our forefathers sacrificed for.
