Skyler begged Mom to hike Mount Timpanogos all summer, but it was a very busy summer and school started. We weren't sure we would be able to make the trip because the cold weather was coming so Skyler recommended going in the middle of the week, on a Wednesday. Mom had to work the night before until 1:30am, but knew this meant a lot to Skyler. So we woke up at 5:30 the next morning and headed to the canyon to start their adventure. We pushed ourselves and hiked fast. We were up to the saddle overlooking the Valley within 3 hours. Mom started to cramp up, most likely due to sleep deprivation so Skyler went ahead to the Summit while Mom slowly trailed behind, but made it! The worst part of the hike is always the last Mile down, your feet feel like jello. It was a perfect day and the changing leaves were a bonus this year since we usually go earlier in the season.
