Fall Break 2020

We were debating what to do for Fall Break this year. We typically take a trip somewhere, last year we were on a cruise. Originally we were thinking of taking a trip to the California beaches, but with Covid, we weren't sure what would be open or closed. So we let the kids decide and they chose to have a "Stay-cation". We started out by heading up to Park City. We invited Traycen along since he would be bored without Laceee who is in Canada until a few days before Christmas while participating in the Reality Show "All Around Champion". We checked into our hotel and headed downtown to walk around the shops, take crazy pictures and of course buy some chocolate and caramel apples at the Chocolate Factory. Then it was out to eat and back to the hotel for Swimming, ping pong and air hockey.

The next day we headed to Lagoon. We always make it a tradition to go at least once a year, but this year was a little different. They didn't end up opening until half way through the season and they had several restrictions about wearing face masks. But the kids kept begging, so we decided October is a fun time to go since they have Frightmares. Traycen was scared of going on a few of the big rides, but we ended up talking him into going on the Colossus which ended up being his favorite ride. Cannibal and Wicked were out of the question. Dad had to work half the day and met us after lunch. It was getting late and started to get quite cold so Dad said instead of buying  a $12 corndog there, he would head home while we finished our last few rides and have homemade corndogs for us. They tasted much better than the frozen corndogs we would have gotten at Lagoon. It was a great day!

The next day, Noelle and Janson invited us to go on a hike with them and their family. Dad had to work so the rest of us joined them. We chose a hike up Corner Canyon that overlooked the valley and the Draper Canyon. The only downfall was all the bikers that use the same trails. But the temperature and weather was perfect!

The next day we went to the movie "War with Grandpa" which was a silly, fun show that the kids loved with Noelle and Janson's family. We topped our Fall Break off with a trip to Gardner's Village  Witchfest. Skyler didn't want to join us so Auri brought her friend Kassie. We went on a scavenger hunt to find several witches in different places around the grounds and of course, we had to stop by for a little chocolate!
