OCTOBER 2020 - MISCELLANEOUS

Jayden survived his first transfer, he would keep his trainer, Elder Jones for another 6 weeks!

Aysia and her dance team - photos taken near Utah Lake

Aysia was invited to an Activity Days Halloween Activity. It was the first activity they had in a few months so she was extra excited.

Skyler only had his license for 3 months before his first accident. We always told him it's not "If', it's "When".  He ran into the back of a van that had to suddenly stop in Lehi. Unfortunately, he was following a little close for how quickly traffic stopped. The car was still able run so he ended up going to the soccer game he was headed to watch and actually drove it around for a few days until we were able to get it into the shop to be fixed. After the insurance company received the quote, they decided to total the car out since it would cost more to fix than the car was worth ($7500). It was a good little car, we are sad to have to say goodbye. Now we will look for a new car for the kids. We were fortunate that no one was injured which was a BIG blessing. Accidents happen, cars are replaceable, but loved ones are not.

A typical Sunday at the Yates house. Wards are now able to meet every week, one week in person and the next over Zoom with sacrament at home. (alternating the first half of the alphabet with the last half every week). Grandma and Grandpa join us each week, Grandpa is obviously thoroughly engaged:)

Mom was released from her Young Women's Calling this month. After serving in Young Women's for 5 1/2 years (3 years as the president), it was hard to say goodbye. She was able to watch her cute Beehive girls grow up and graduate. The girls made her a basket full of notes and fall goodies. Auri hasn't been with Mom on a Wednesday night since she was 3!! Now maybe they have a night they can hang out!

Auri asked Dad out on a date. So they went out for Pizza, then to FatCats to play in the arcade.

Hanging out at the Baseball park, Cheering Noelle and Janson on as they play in their Softball tournament which they took first place!

Lacee was chosen out of hundreds of athletes to participate in a reality TV show for kids called "All Around Champion" which would be filmed for 3 months in Canada. She was chosen for her skills in Pole Vaulting. We are excited to watch the show in the spring when it aires.

Grandpa Pikus in High School - Orem High

Chase had a relapse this year after being clean for 4 years. We were so proud of him as he chose to go into a wilderness recovery program for 2 months. We pray for him and his sweet family to heal from the affects of substance abuse. He was able to graduate from the program and come home to bless his sweet baby girl, Millery.
