September 5th was the exact day when Skyler would start his MTC experience. The first week would be spent at home and the 2nd and 3rd weeks would be in the Provo MTC. President Joe Hudson set him apart as a Full Time Missionary in our home. We invited Grandma and Grandpa Pikus over for the big event. It was an amazing experience and we all got to share a brief testimony which really brought in the spirit. We are so excited to see what Elder Yates will do. He will be amazing, Jamaica will love him!
A week before Skyler headed out he was able to go to his friend Adam Powell's house to say goodbye to all of his buddies, half of which had been set apart and were heading out within a week to the MTC. Adam was flying out the next morning to Africa where his MTC experience would begin.
