Dad and Mom were concerned for Great Grandpa Yates after Grammy passed. He hadn't been alone for over 66 years and beyond since they were high school sweethearts. They knew he was lonely so they made dinner one evening and the family went up to spend the evening with him. We were able to enjoy dad's famous meatloaf and potatoes as well as look through few photo books and enjoy some stories from Grandpa's life. He got tired fairly quickly so we had a small dessert (a cake to celebrate Grammy's birthday coming up that week) and said our goodbyes. He was definitely frail and we knew he wouldn't have much longer. It will definitely be a cherished memory.
