It is tradition that on Halloween, Mom makes the kids a Halloween lunch. This will most likely be the last year since this is Auri's last year in elementary school and they are too cool for lunches like this in Jr. High. Dad helped this year and made sure to make the perfect sandwich. Of course she couldn't eat it all but she had a snack or two after school.
Mom barely got a quick picture of Auri in the school parade, they were nearly running and mom almost missed her. After the parade mom was able to organize Auri's class party since she is the room mom this year. They divided into 4 groups, each group doing a different activity. Mom's group was a skit. She gave each group a bag with 4-5 items they would need to use in a skit they would make up that would be 2-3 minutes long and have to play their character they dressed up as. They were really creative. Mom gave them treats and popcorn as they watched the skits being performed.
Auri and her friends, Lia, Giselle, Megan, Nisi and El all got together at Nisi's house first to hang out. Then they headed to our house for dinner (soup in pumpkin bread bowls), chips, veggies and of course goodies. They were very quick to eat and out the door. They went trick-or-treating and then ended up at Lia's to hang out a bit longer. The poor teachers that teach the next day will certainly have their hands full.
While mom was trying to get ready, Skyler called to talk since it was his P-Day. Skyler loves Halloween and as a missionary they don't celebrate it so he was excited to see what we were doing.
